This is the place to discuss (or just plain diss) the events in Salem, USA. With over 50 years of romance, comedy, intrigue, and the occasional return from the dead, there's rarely a dull moment.
DAYS and I have fallen out more times than I can count. But for some reason I always return to Salem. It just seems lately that everyone lives in one of three buildings in town.
The Orpheus material has been much better than I expected, although Chad and Gabi disrobing in the panic room was as predictable as a turkey sandwich on Black Friday. lol
I have enjoyed all the stuff with the Kiriakis men gathered together at the Kiriakis mansion. The best part of the escaped convict story has been how it has put a bunch of characters together that haven't been together in ages. Adrienne and Lucas in a state of panic over the locked door at the DiMera mansion was cringe-worthy. Claire has become terribly annoying under the new writers.

I wondered if Abe's increased screen time and medical crisis might be building up to Valerie's return.
There's always hope. I mean, Abe has been onscreen more in the past few weeks than in the entire past year!
I'm actually enjoying Days again and not wanting to skip episodes. All the different core character interactions are so refreshing and exciting.
I can't wait for VW's Valerie to show up. Nice nod to history a very large portion of the characters WILL remember her from '75-'82.
Another week where I found myself enjoying the show. I know we didn't get to see any of the bombs going off due to budget, but I thought the sounds of the bombs going off was somewhat ominous. I loved all the interactions at the hospital at the end of the week. Having all the characters on the show in the middle of the same storyline has been really energizing. A lot of the writing is pretty silly, but at least it's fun and at least is the characters I know and love interacting with each other.
Perfect choice! As I have said before, half of Salem WILL remember Valerie. Abe, Maggie, Roman, Marlena, Julie, Hope, Doug, etc.
Though most (if not all) of the Anderson's have been killed off, I'd love for DOOL to go the extra mile and bring back the Anderson Factory. Bring more working class people to the show. Will be interesting to see Valerie. Though her father and brother were killed off, her mother, Helen, wasn't. It would be great to see her again. Though she's 82, Ketty Lester is still alive.
Also, where is Johnny Evans, Marlena's adopted son? With Frank and Martha? And why is it that we've only seen Marlena's parents very briefly in the late '70's? Robert, Samantha, and Trista are dead, but they're not. I'd love to see Marlena's blood family extended.
