Hi to all you Bobby and Pam fans You may not believe it, but it's actually been more than a decade, since I came up with the idea for this short fanfic. Anyway, now I've managed to put it down on paper, and I'm now willing to share it with you all! The short story has four parts, and I'll post each part separately. Thus, you will be able to read the full fanfic just as soon as I'm done putting it on the Board. Hope that you enjoy it! Feedback is much appreciated Part 1 out of 4 Pam’s house It was about 6:00 a.m. on the day that Pam and Bobby were to meet with their lawyers to discuss the final aspects of their divorce. Pam hadn’t slept much during the night. Her days as Mrs. Bobby James Ewing were about to come to an end, and she was hurting deep inside. When she thought about what had happened at Thanksgiving Square some days ago, her mind kept circling around what Bobby had said to her. Even though Mark Graison had been a good friend to her, she had never once considered taking things any further with him, even though he had made it clear that he was hoping for more. Pam had enjoyed the attention that Mark had paid to her, while Bobby had been busy with the contest for Ewing Oil. But Pam had always known deep inside that she would never have the same feelings for Mark that she felt for Bobby. Looking back at the last six months of her life, Pam had many regrets. She had needed some time away from Southfork after her mother’s passing, but Pam could see now that it had been a mistake not to ask Bobby to come with her and Christopher. The time that they’d spent apart, had not been the best thing for their marriage, and they had drifted further and further apart to the point where they could barely talk without it turning into a heated argument. Pam had realized that the time she had spent with Mark had been a bad move on her part. She remembered how she had felt when Bobby had been seeing Jenna. Even though Bobby consistently had insisted that it was all innocent, Pam had felt hurt and jealous. Pam knew now that it was the opposite situation with Mark, and she was sad that her behavior may have played a significant part in the destruction of her marriage. Pam got out of bed and put on a robe. She went to check on Christopher, but he was still sound asleep. Pam’s body was aching all over, because she hadn’t gotten any proper rest. She could hear Louise downstairs in the kitchen and decided to go down for some coffee. As Pam began her walk down the staircase, she felt a bit dizzy. Just before she reached the last step, she suddenly collapsed and fell to the floor. Louise heard the commotion and came to see what all the noise was about. She found Pam unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. Even though Louise tried several times, she wasn’t able wake Pam up. Louise hurried to the nearest house phone and dialed 911. As Louise was waiting for the ambulance to come, she tried to reach both Cliff and Kathrine, but neither of them answered their phones. The ambulance arrived shortly thereafter, and the paramedics weren’t able to make contact with Pam either. She was put on a stretcher and carried out to the ambulance. Louise had to stay behind, because Christopher couldn’t be left alone. Just after the ambulance pulled out of the driveway, Louise tried to reach Cliff and Kathrine again, but once again had no luck. Louise then decided to try to get ahold of Bobby. Bobby was still sleeping in his bedroom at Southfork. When the phone rang, he couldn’t understand at first who it was. The woman on the line sounded all frantic and didn’t make much sense at all. After a few seconds, Bobby recognized Louise’s voice and began putting the pieces of the puzzle that Louise had been trying to explain together. Finally, Bobby was able to comprehend that Pam was on her way to Dallas Memorial Hospital in an ambulance. Bobby assured Louise that he would hurry to the hospital. Just before hanging up, he asked Louise to take care of Christopher, until he could make other arrangements.
