Tennessee Stallion (1982) with Audrey Landers. It was nice to see Audrey in something else than Dallas. But the action sequences in the movie seems very dated today.

    You Before Me (2016).

A bit overly sentimental and clichéd but still a good film.

Unfortunately it didn't have the epic final moment as it was described in the novel.

Well, your comment made me curious about how the novel ends vs. the film. So I had a peek on Wikipedia.

I didn't find what I was looking for, but I did find this:

That's a whole lot of awards. lol

Well all I can say is, you have to see it to believe itlol
But sometimes I'm in the mood for pure trash, and this one didn't disappoint!

Lovely to Look At (1952) with Howard Keel, Kathryn Grayson, Ann Miller etc.
It was delightful even though the fashion parade at the end was a bit too long.

    Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?

Last night was my first time watching. I wasn't sure what to expect, but if I had been it wouldn't have been this.

What a wonderful film. Appropriately play-like with long scenes and the limited cast.

The noirish realism was quite unexpected. It's as if Mike Leigh had re-written a Noël Coward version of Peyton Place, the series. And got Quentin Tarantino to direct it.

Taylor and Burton were better than I knew they had in them:

    This scene gave me chills:

Interstellar- this one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It just ends up being complete and utter nonsense and an insult to anyone watching it. Horrible.

Galaxy Quest- I saw this again and it's just as funny as ever. This movie has not aged a "day" and it's just so much to watch. The script and actors are excellent.

Hi Ms. P. :) I haven't seen another request to combine the threads, so sorry if I've missed it.

I thought the threads were slightly different.

Going by the title and the posts in the other thread, the other thread seems to be a bit more general about films watched recently (sometimes several), and I wanted another one that was really specific to just the single last film someone saw (otherwise my OCD was going to kick in :D).

I could combine, but I also think it's nice to have two slightly different threads. As I remember, we had two similar-but-different threads on the old site and it worked fine. I'm open to persuasion though.

Gatans Änglar (2016). I showed it to my mom, who actually liked it since it has a message. :)

I'm glad you've discovered "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" You know this is the movie that turned me into a Taylor-Burton fan. It made me discover them as actors and want to see more of their work. So well 8 years later and I've seen all of Elizabeth's movies. :)

I was very, very impressed with both of them. It's given me the desire to watch more of their films at some point. I've only seen a couple of Elizabeth's films, and I don't remember watching anything with Richard in before. I was struck by the similarity between his voice and Anthony Hopkins. Not surprising considering they were both born in Neath Port Talbot. It's hard to shake that Welsh lilt. :D
