I find that such a vague description. People danced to rock in the 60s - and how about "I Was Made For Loving You"?

Personally I'd call it synth-rock, although that might blur with synth-pop (imagine the outrage by the fans)
Anyway, enjoy all your purchases (a tad greedy I must say but we're all doing our very best to support the economy).

According to this article, or at least the comment section underneath, that was Disco Rock:

    Thanks!

That are some great purchases @James from London? I'm curious how the Pointer Sisters album "Steps" sounds like, I only got the Poinster Sisters album from 1978 to 1988

Hi @James from London, thanks for the clip, the first song sounds very funky/disco to me, i really like the funky sound of this song. And yes you're right the album called "Steppin', i was confused with the music group "Steps" ;):D.

    This week I've bought

    [IMG][IMG][IMG] [IMG] [IMG][IMG] [IMG][IMG][IMG] [IMG]

I also found this great site that has digitised thousands of old 78rpm recordings and lets you download them free of charge:

Is that Space as in 'Magic Fly' Space off of the 70s or 'The Female is Dealier Than the Male' Space off of the 90s?

The Pulp Countdown album is an interesting one, it has a very raw but pleasant/catchy sound.

It has to be the Magic Fly - as soon as I saw Willie's post I went into an excitement mode thinking the 90s Space might have some new mixes of their 90s stuff out there.

The image of Whammy! confused me because I thought it was the artist (a mini-WHAM! ?)
Paramore was the other one that caught my eye so I youtubed them. I like the "Hard Times" song.
Ooh, very very old. But I've discover "All I Want For Christmas (Is My Two Front Teeth)" and I'm going to nominate it in the Christmas 2017 Top Ten.
Yes. My favourite song is "Just Blue".

Yes, it's really good. Jarvis's voice sounds very different in places. He's really crooning on some of the songs.

My favourite discovery on there so far is 'Wood Planer (3 Cuts)', which is just the sound of wood being planed.

    Yes, it's very poppy.

I thought the title was just a clever, well, title - not actually referring to 1983 recordings.
And then I just found out they really had started in the early 80s, unlike the other bands Blur and Oasis (and according to the fans on YouTube you can't like Blur and Oasis).
Anyway, youtubed a few songs again and discovered some good tunes I hadn't heard before:
    They Suffocate At Night
    Countdown
    Death Goes To The Discotheque

Bad Cover Version - how did that video manage to slide beneath my radar?

This cover has disturbed me. Whenever I scroll past it I keep seeing the number "7" formed by the woman in red's belt and forearm. Now I'm seriously considering the possibility that the whole ensemble is forming a subliminal message.

How are you enjoying it, Payton? It's great to see a Donna compilation with some relative rarites on.
