Something like this, perhaps?:
Shania Twain Now.
Made In America.
101 Power Ballads.
I just bought another Anne Murray cd.
Anne Murray - The Ultimate Collection (2-disc) deluxe edition
Speaking of Anne Murray, this probably isn't the right thread, but I recently came across this interesting cover:
What a beautiful cover version.
Now I also want a disco-nrg version by Claudja Barry (duet with whoever) - but I can't find it.
Thanks @James from London, i never heard of this version before, it's so diffrent from the origianl but i really do like it.
Received today with the post, another two vinyl records from Celine Dion
Sans attendre (2 elpees)
Encore un Soir (2 elpees + 1 cd)
This week, I bought:
Steps - Tears On The Dancefloor - Crying At The Disco Deluxe Edition
Five times. One signed by each member.
You've bought 5 copies?
Yes. And the digital download. And I bought the physical release of the original album as well as it's digital download. And I bought all the singles and remix EPs. Steps are my pop band and they have absolutely delighted me this year. I have 8 versions of the album in total. lol but 6 of them are signed by the group. The other 2 are digital.
Gosh, I only have 2 signed music releases: a CD signed by Matt Pop, and a 7" single signed by Betty Dorsey.
And this one, which doesn't show up in an image search.
Also, a pre-order arrived on my doormat this morning:
Only one copy for me though.
Christmas goes Baroque - featuring the standard Christmas songs, but in baroque style
It was next to free, so I put it in my (online) shopping cart
This week's purchases:
Very nice, James.
Having looked at the track lists for the three Linda Lewis albums I've just played her version of Can't We Just Sit Down, which I had no idea existed until now (or at least I don't think I did). It's very nice. Love that warm, mellow, Moogy sound.
At the moment I only have one song of hers in my collection - her cover of I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You. Maybe I need to consider exploring her work a little more at some point.
Funny, I thought of you when I heard that track, knowing it was also a Donna Summer B-side!
There's a handy Linda Lewis box set, Legends, which includes nearly all the songs on those three albums plus some extras.
Oh and when you're feeling Christmassy, check out her version of 'Winter Wonderland'.
