Mr. McShane has managed to pass me off with all his insults against fandom (specifically the GoT one). I don´t think I can look at Don Lockwood the same way again...

At first, Dusty seemed like this dashing guy who was going battle JR and whisk Sue Ellen off to exotic locations. But then, after he "died", we got stuck with watching him limp around the Southern Cross and continually rewatch his copy of the season 3 dvd of Dallas, with "Rodeo" being the only episode he seemed to like.

I agree ... Sue Ellen always got screwed in the men's department! :bang:

When I mentioned Dusty as her #1, I was thinking of the "first" Dusty that we got to learn! He was so nice to Sue Ellen and treated her like gold! Dusty's accident did change him for the worse! But my plan was for Sue Ellen to run off with Dusty the first time around anyway! :D

Ok, this is going to sound sexist but there is no other way to ask. Was it only the women that a had a problem with the Sue Ellen/Peter story-line. I've just finished watching the season concerning their romance and I'll admit I've mellowed to Christopher. Perhaps it has something to do with me being a few years younger than him so can identify with his attractiveness to Sue Ellen. I'll admit his acting may not have been up to par at times, especially when he attempts to play angry but on the whole I now believe his innocence plays well within the context of the story.

There is a great scene between Sue Ellen and Peter which occurs in the Southfork kitchen after the Oil Baron's Ball. Watching Christopher's facial expressions nails the scene. He's caught up in a world he knows nothing about. From his standpoint I understand his infatuation with an older woman, especially at an age when hormones are racing.

I'd like to hear your opinions.

I loved Christopher Atkins in other "things" (i.e. movies, etc.) ;)

Also, I can totally understand being attracted to someone a lot older than yourself! ;) Age doesn't necessarily play a role in who you fall for, neither romantically or intellectually! :)

But I was just never able to "catch the love wave" when it came to Sue Ellen and Peter Richards! :( It may have worked between Sue Ellen and a different young male actor, but seeing Linda with Christopher Atkins just wasn't my "cup of tea"! :(

I'm a woman (no, seriously!), and I thought the whole thing was hilarious! The only problem was that it was pretty one-sided. Sue Ellen actually looked like she was in physical pain during those kissing scenes, and she was usually just trying to tell Peter she didn't want to be with him. It would have been a lot better if Sue Ellen had actually wanted that affair the whole time. The constant indecision and forcing herself to go along with it due to things like Peter threatening to drop out of college didn't give any spark to this, and made Sue Ellen look wimpy. Plus, JR looked pathetic for being jealous of a college kid who probably wasn't even half his age. Not to mention that it was just plain sad that it took that to get him to start paying a little (very little) more attention to his own son. And while I didn't have any issues with Christopher Atkins, I think that hot roommate of Peter's, Jerry Hunter, would have made this more believable.

Clint- because he was so boring. Although Don is just a whisker behind.

Jerry Kenderson. He was nicer than most of her beaux, but the romance seemed forced -- like so much in the dream season.

Don Lockwood, IMO not much chemistry and rather dull. Cliff and Dusty I think were great affairs for Sue Ellen. I liked Jerry, he was sweet. The only episode of Nicholas I saw, was him being tossed out a window so I can only say that he really fell for Sue Ellen

Don Lockwood, a character as boring and unappealing as the hideous black leather coat that seemed to be surgically attached to his body.

Don. Far too small. I recently worked with an actress who worked with him on Deadwood. So I had like a six degrees kind of association to Linda

I have stated my opinion on this awhile back but I want to state that I enjoyed when JR stomped Nic Pearces ass and threw him over that balcony. Absolutely hated that turd face also.

For the purpose of this thread the answer is Peter Richards (the casting didn't help).

But the worst man in the world for Sue Ellen will always be JR Ewing.

Clint Ogden and Don Lockwood were boring. Relationship with toyboy Peter Richards was somewhat embarrassing.
But i pick Nicholas Pearce as worst. Hated him and his mullet.

Should Jerry Kenderson be on this list? Sue Ellen never went as far as having an affair with him. You may as well put Clayton Farlow on the list if you're including Jerry Kenderson.

Sue Ellen's best affair was with Dusty Farlow, then Cliff Barnes. Her worst was with Don Lockwood, then Peter Richards.

Uber Twink Peter Richards was a delight to my young and hungry eyes. I just found it unfortunate that his delicate features made Sue Ellen look a little like a drag queen.
