1) Emmerdale (I don't know either shows so I vote for the show that got Maxwell Caulfield...)
Match 6: Dynasty
Oh? I had no idea!!
Those Colbys get everywhere.
Match 5: Coronation Street, aka Corrie
Match 6: Dynasty
Hope it helps!
The World Cup brings soapchatters together!
Hahaha yeah! It's really great!
We should try a "We are the world" version for this cup, like "united we suffer, villains and liaisons, every time is prime time, together for a thousand of reasons"
I guess I have an 80s fever at this moment, lol
The poll has now closed and the votes have been counted and verified. The results to the vote for the matches in the third week of round 2 are as follows:
Emmerdale - 12
Coronation Street - 13
Falcon Crest - 11
Dynasty - 15
The 2 soap operas going through to the next round are as follows:
Thank you to everyone who voted in this round.
Wow, those were close matches. I'm sad to see Falcon Crest fall but I'm glad it got eleven votes. Congrats to the winners.
Stunned to see the perennially popular Manchester based soap opera squeaking through by just a single vote
Who would've thought it?
So we say a sad farewell to Emmerdale and Falcon Crest leaving the following soaps in the contest:
This week will see the final 2 matches in the second round including one featuring Knots Landing but who will be up against who? Details will be posted tomorrow.
Me too. Until late yesterday it was on course for victory then there was a late flurry of votes for Dynasty. If I was more like the real Angela Channing I would have rigged the matches to give Falcon Crest weaker opposition.
SAVANNAH is still in the game! Very impressive!
Savannah has its second round match beginning tomorrow. Whether it wins or not, it has done well to get this far considering it was a relatively short lived soap opera.
Yes, and to think that Peyton Place barely survived. I'm afraid it's going to be the next casualty
Peyton Place would be a deserving winner but I'm not sure if the voters are familiar enough with the show to support it strongly. But what do I know, I wanted Crossroads to win!
Oh if I had know that Stephanie Beacham was in "Coronation Street", I might have changed my vote !
Sad to see Falcon Crest go but Dynasty had a surprisingly strong support towards the end. It was a really close match for most of the week!
So was Corrie and Emmerdale.
Still at the same time I'm glad that Dynasty made it through.
