Oh, yes indeed, Sir.... it's a great album of hers. Not heard it in a long while. I'm guessing it's the Toyah-esque tone of "Monitor" that's tickled your inner ear.... o_O:D

    I like songs about radios.

Very pretty. I'm a bit surprised they're American. I get a kind of Swedish vibe from them.

Tough choice for me this week. I'm torn three ways -- between the ecstatic pop of 'Long Time' by Blondie from their new record Pollinator, the lovely sound of 'Into' from the album One by Be which "imagines the sound of British summertime as heard by one of the most important members of the animal kingdom – the bee", and Harry Styles tossing himself off to pleasing effect on 'From the Dining Table'. I love them all, but I'm gonna have to go with Harry again. Comfortable silences are so overrated.

Have you listened to the album, or just selected tracks? I'm really impressed with it as a whole, I feel influences reaching as far back as the Stones & Beatles

I'm glad you like them. Since I got the album I have played it a lot and I was out having food in Wagamamas the other day and they seemed to be playing a playlist of theirs. I thought it was a bit strange or that I was imagining it... lol

I'm usually pretty clueless when it comes to artists nationalities.
For many years I thought that Deborah Harry and Grace Slick were British, and I have always considered Fleetwood Mac a typical American band.

I haven't watched it much since I heard some offputting things about James Corden himself. But I enjoyed this. That Harry's a charismatic one. I suddenly realised I've never really seen him do anything before.

My pick to click this week is 'What Can a Song Do to You?' by the Unthanks.

I've noticed one thing about him and his eyes: when he's not smiling, he's really not smiling.

    Lovely!

This is my pick - George Harrison goes disco before disco has even been invented:

Thanks, James. I had completely forgotten about this thread. Too absorbed by all the soaps, I guess.

This week it's "The Witch" by The Rattles

    Playing catch up here ...

Ooooooohhhhhhh, I like it! A bit Jefferson Airplane ... a bit Brian Auger, Julie Driscoll & the Trinity circa 'This Wheel's on Fire' .... lemme google these cats ... "The Rattles are a German rock band ... performed in Hamburg, and played at the same venues as The Beatles on several occasions in 1962. In 1964 the group recorded "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah", which charted in the UK." In-ter-es-ting!

I have no idea who this is, but I heard it on an episode of CSI and I can't stop playing it.
